Commander Christian
Christian has over 20 years of experience teaching children and adults how to move and is an ACE certified group fitness instructor, functional movement, and youth specialist.
“I’m originally from Chicago, but lived in the San Francisco Bay Area in California before arriving in Seattle. During my time in Chicago I had the pleasure of studying at the Illinois Institute of Art, Chicago while teaching capoeira throughout the greater Chicago land area. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in fine arts, I quickly realized that helping people make their best better while having fun was an idea I needed to breathe life into.
I started teaching at 15 and have experience teaching Martial Arts, Dance, Parkour, Gymnastics and other forms of movement with students from 3 to 60 years old. This has lead me to many locations, including the Village Leadership Academy and Boys & Girls Club in Chicago; Guardian Art, Alta Vista School, Gateway Child Development Center and the Family Peninsula YMCA in the San Francisco Bay Area; and in several schools and community centers in the Snoqualmie Valley area.
The simple concept of leveling up to make our best better while having the most fun we can, is more than an idea or passion; for me it’s my mission.”
Commander Sarah
Sarah walked throught the doors in 2024 and has since become an integral part of our community. Always bring the energy and passion to every class.
Hi there! I’m Sarah, and I’m originally from Colorado but have been to multiple countries throughout my life. While growing up I participated in competitive gymnastics and Kempo karate earning my 3rd degree brown belt before leaving for Basic Combat Training.
While in the army I had many interesting experiences, including rotating to Korea for nine months and taking opportunity to learn Taekwondo. During this time I realized I really enjoy learning new movements, the outdoors, and found a passion for teaching people new things.
