What will my child practice?

Kids practice jumping, climbing, balancing, vaulting, and controlling their movement through creative challenges and courses. The program blends the discipline and body awareness of martial arts, the creativity of parkour, and the control and agility of gymnastics.

We use these activities to get kids moving and having fun together while working on coordination, leadership, and teamwork. Urban Warriors is its own program, rather than a traditional dojo or gymnastics curriculum.

Which age group should we choose?

Kids groups are organized for ages 6–8 and 9–12. Teens and adults have separate sessions, and intermediate and advanced clan sessions have their own requirements. Tell the team your child’s age and experience so you can discuss a suitable starting point.

The schedule page has current class times. Confirm availability with the team before planning a regular visit.

Can a beginner try Urban Warriors?

Yes. A Demo lets a new student meet a coach, see the gym, and try some warrior moves before choosing a regular class. Tell the coach what your child has tried before and how comfortable they feel in a new group.

The visit is a chance for you to ask questions as well. Ask how new students start, how challenges are adjusted, and what a normal class includes.

Who teaches the classes?

Commander Christian has more than 20 years of experience teaching children and adults how to move. His background includes martial arts, dance, parkour, and gymnastics. Commander Sarah brings experience in competitive gymnastics and Kempo karate to the Urban Warriors community.

Read more about the team’s experience and approach on our instructor page. At your visit, ask who teaches the class you are considering.

Where is the gym, and how do we get started?

Urban Warriors is at 709 Industry Dr, Tukwila, WA 98188. Families coming from Seattle, Renton, or nearby communities should check their route at the time they plan to attend. A reliable weekly routine is part of finding the right class.

Book a Demo, review the appointment details, and allow about 30 minutes. You will get a tour, an overview of the program, and a chance to try some movement.

How does this compare with other kids activities?

The best starting point is your child’s interest. A child who wants a specific martial art, gymnastics apparatus, or a ball-based team sport may prefer a program focused on that activity. A child who enjoys varied movement and obstacle challenges may want to try Urban Warriors.

The parent guides below explain the differences so you can compare your options before booking.

Which session should you ask about?

How do we take the next step?

  1. Check the schedule. Find a group that fits your child's age and your week.
  2. Book a Demo. Meet a coach, see the gym, and try some warrior moves.
  3. Choose your next step. Discuss class placement and current membership details after the visit.

What else do parents ask?

Is this parkour-only training?

No. Parkour is part of a broader ninja program that also draws on martial arts-style discipline and gymnastics-style control.

Does my child need experience?

Beginners can start with a Demo. Let the coach know your child’s experience and interests so you can discuss the right class.

Are these classes for kids under six?

The kids groups described here are ages 6–8 and 9–12. Contact the team directly about options for a child outside those age groups.

How long is a Demo?

Allow about 30 minutes for a tour, a conversation about the program, and some movement. Follow the details shown when you book.
